Major figures in the property sector will be attending a conference in Liverpool this week.
The Association of Chief Estates Surveyors and property managers (ACES) is holding its Spring Conference today and tomorrow, 13-14 May.
The theme of the conference, which is being held at the Holiday Inn, Lime Street, is 'Public Assets; Catalyst for Recovery'.
Key speakers include Guy Butler, Project Director of Grosvenor Properties, who will be giving a 10 year retrospective look at Liverpool One and the City Centre, and Felicity Goodey, Chairman of the Central Salford Urban Regeneration Company, who will be examining the changing face of employment, industry and business in the North West.
More than 150 delegates are attending the event, with a wide range of property companies, consultants and local authorities represented.
John Kelly, Liverpool City Council's Executive Director for Regeneration, who will give the welcoming address said: "The North West Branch of ACES have held two meetings in recent years in Liverpool where delegates saw the progress of Liverpool One, and they were so impressed by its progress that they decided to stage their Spring conference in the city.
"We are very pleased to welcome such an important event to the city. It will be a great opportunity to showcase Liverpool to some of the most important figures in the property industry."
