Sisk was awarded a Gold award for its Bolsover Street site at The Considerate Constructors Scheme Annual National Site Awards 2010, which are given to the highest scoring sites, selected from over 7000.
Sisk's Bolsover Street site saw the construction of new residential accommodation over the new wing of the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in North London. The site was highly commended for the attention to detail and excellent neighbour relations throughout the project, including regular attendance at monthly community liaison meetings and coordinated planning with the hospital to manage and mitigate the impact of a major build programme on continuing clinical operations.
A further two bronze awards were awarded for Sisk's Wembley WO4 site and Grosvenor House apartments. The Wembley WO4 site, a residential and retail development, was particularly commended for a number of achievements, including the cleanliness, environmental and safety aspects of the site. The Grosvenor House apartments in London were also applauded for the high standards of safety, consideration and respectful nature in which the site and works were conducted.
James Meredith, Company Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager, Sisk commented: "As a family run firm, doing the right things is incredibly important to us, so it is fantastic to gain external recognition and especially to achieve a Gold award in such a prestigious award scheme. The awards are recognition of the hard work and dedication that everyone on site put in to make them a success for both our clients and people living or working in the surrounding areas."
