Construction work is underway on a new multi-million pound educational centre in Buckinghamshire.
Construction firm Morgan Sindall is developing the four-storey building, which will include educational facilities and public amenities including restaurants, cafes and a new public square.
The work is for the University Campus Aylesbury Vale (UCAV) project, which is being funded and managed by Aylesbury Vale District Council.
The building's upper three floors will provide educational facilities for tenants, Buckinghamshire Education Skills and Training (BEST). BEST is a partnership between Aylesbury College and Buckinghamshire New University, which offers a range of full and part-time courses.
The new centre will expand the higher education offering for local residents, providing teaching space and break-out areas for students and staff. The centre aims to stimulate further economic growth in Aylesbury and across Buckinghamshire by offering a number of courses which are specifically designed to meet the local industry's skills requirements. Around 2,000 students are expected to attend the centre.
