The Government has held its first Cabinet meeting since the summer recess at the Olympic Park.
It was the latest in a series of Cabinet meetings that the Government has been holding around the UK.
The meeting was held in the site offices of the contractor building the Aquatics Centre on the Park. Beforehand, Ministers spoke with workers in the site canteen. Some Ministers also went on a tour of the Park to see how construction is progressing.
Prime Minister Gordon Brown said: "I think that the whole of our country will be proud to see the preparations for the Olympic and Paralympic Games are not only on track and on budget but that these superb buildings are going to be ones that grace the whole world."
Earlier in the day, Cabinet Ministers had visited different parts of east London to see how the 2012 Games are benefiting the local area.
