Newport To Get Leisure Centre Development

A new state of the art leisure centre will be opened in Bettws in November.

Newport City Council has announced the new leisure facility as part of the £28 million Newport High School development to replace the existing Bettws leisure centre that has been open since 1974.

The centre will include state of the art facilities including a 25 metre swimming pool, changing village with family and disabled facilities and a fitness suite with the latest CV and resistance equipment.

There will also be a dance studio with a sprung floor to house aerobics and dance activities and sports hall for badminton, indoor football, basketball, netball, indoor cricket and many more.

The leisure centre also boasts a floodlit Astro Turf pitch and a multi-use games area.
