Cherwell District Council will this month hand over the redeveloped building at 58 Bridge Street to NHS Oxfordshire for it's new health centre.
This follows a successful three-month construction project to transform the council's former offices into a brand new facility for Cherwell residents.
The Banbury Health Centre, due to open to the public on 1 October, has been designed to improve access to GP services and enhance the area's existing health provision by bringing additional high quality GP and dental services into the heart of Banbury. The centre will also be home to the Oxfordshire Drug and Alcohol Action Team.
Ginny Hope, Head of Primary Care Contracted Services at NHS Oxfordshire said: "Working with Cherwell District Council has enabled us to find a location for the new Banbury Health Centre in the heart of Banbury.
"They have provided us with new and modern facilities that will help us to provide a great service to the people of Banbury."
