Timber merchant Meerdink (UK) Ltd has recently launched a new type of composite decking in the UK market.
Meerdink UK is a major supplier of Ekki, Opepe and FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) timbers, suitable for marine and heavy construction work, including wharfs, bridges, decking, river pilings, lock gates, walkways, verandas, handrails, stairways, etc. The new decking range consists of a woven glass fibre & polyester resin composite that is a tough, zero-maintenance, and is an easy to install alternative to traditional decking.
The new MK600 composite is being widely used across Europe on bridges, walkways, jetties and a variety of other commercial and residential projects. Quick to install on either timber or metal beams with simple fastening clips, the MK600 decking's unique design allows the structure to be as light as possible thus keeping down construction costs. Amongst the advantages of the MK600 decking is it's UV resistant make up, unaffected by extreme weather conditions and easy to clean. Available in a variety of colours for smaller jobs, the decking can be manufactured to any RAL colour on larger projects.
