E.ON has announced that it will remove the standing charge for its gas prepayment meter customers.
Having offered one of the lowest gas prices throughout the winter months, E.ON is also reducing gas prices for the majority of its gas customers, saving them around £25 a year.
Jim Macdonald, Commercial Director of E.ON's Retail business, said: "We're delighted to be able to remove the gas prepayment meter standing charge which we had promised to do last year.
"We're committed to offering competitive prices at all times and delivering on our promises."
E.ON has also urged its gas prepayment customers to top-up and credit their meter as soon as possible in order to make sure they take advantage of these changes.
