Leyland Trade gave its staff a taste of life in the fast lane as leading racing outfit Motorbase Performance roared into town for a high-octane day of autos, action and adrenaline.
As one of the official sponsors of Motorbase Performance's Airwaves BMW British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) and Porsche Carrera Cup GB teams for the 2009 season, the lucky Leyland workers were given the unique opportunity to get up close and personal with the drivers and take a cheeky peek at the breathtaking cars.
The drivers just about managed to stave off the requests from staff to get behind the wheels of the spectacular machines and were more than happy to discuss life in the race lane, sign autographs and pose for photos with Leyland Lovely and official BTCC grid girl Tina. Well, who wouldn't?
The event also helped raise over £500 for Help For Heroes, Leyland Trade's nominated charity which has now received over £3,400 from the paint brand's various fundraising antics…proving it practices as well as preaches its mantra of GET ON WITH IT!
The lucrative sponsorship deal with Motorbase Performance sees Leyland Trade's name on all of the cars, transporters, drivers' protective and team clothing, as well as throughout the team's position in the pit lane.
