Interserve, the services, maintenance and building group, has won an NHS ProCure21 framework contract to create a ward block at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield for Heart of England Foundation NHS Trust.
The four-storey block will be linked to the existing Accident and Emergency department in order to improve the hospital's operational efficiency and patient flow. It will accommodate ward areas as well as extending the Accident and Emergency department on the ground floor. This project marks the first major work in the Hospital's 10-year investment programme.
David Paterson, Managing Director of Interserve's Project Services Division, said: "The award of this contract demonstrates that the ProCure21 framework continues to play an important role in enabling NHS Trusts to create facilities they need to serve their local communities. We are proud to be working with the Heart of England to help it realise its vision for delivering healthcare to the Sutton Coldfield area."
