Lincolnshire County Council is developing a new children's centre at Holton-le-Clay Junior School with an outreach site at Tetney Primary School, providing services for children up to five years old and their families.
Potential services could include parent and toddler play sessions, drop-in sessions for families, healthy eating sessions, signposting and information on training, employment and benefit advice.
The centre will also link to services currently available in the area such as childcare, health and adult learning and building works are due to be completed by March 2010
Tim Linford, Children's Centre Practitioner, said: "Holton-le-Clay and Tetney are two of 12 new children's centres to be built in the county before the end of March 2010, adding to the 36 that are already up and running. The extra facilities will give communities a boost and provide essential support all the year around for young children and their families. I would urge parents to go along to the meetings and find out more about what the children's centres can offer families and the community."
