People who are thinking about making changes to their property in Hull, or taking on a development project are being given help at a special planning surgery.

Hull City Council is holding the event later this month, which aims to give people help and advice about the planning application and building regulations process.

Staff from the council's planning service including building control, development control and highways development control, will be available for people to talk through how any questions or concerns about planning applications.

Alex Codd, City Planning Manager, said: "People who have never applied for planning permission before, or even those who have, could find the process a bit daunting. These surgeries, which happen on a monthly basis, aim to make it a more understandable process.

"People can also find out more about the 'do's' and 'don'ts' of applying from planning permission from officers who deal with planning applications on a daily basis."

The next session will take place on Thursday 28 May at Kingston House, Bond Street.
