Hull City Council's second planning surgery is due to be held this month to help people who are thinking about developing their properties or undertaking a development project.

This series of planning surgeries by the council are designed to help people through the planning application and building regulations process.

The surgeries will have staff from the council's planning service, including building control, development control and highways development control, on hand to talk to people who are thinking about applying for planning permission in Hull.

Alex Codd, City Planning Manager, said: "We know that people may find the planning application process quite daunting, particularly if it's the first time they are thinking about submitting an application.

"We hope that the planning surgeries will make the process more understandable. Officers who deal with applications on a daily basis will be on hand and able to answer people's questions and concerns, as well as helping them with the 'dos' and 'don'ts' of applying for planning permission."
