Community engagement and planning experts have been appointed to create plans for the multi-million re-development of housing at a prominent south Bristol site.
Their first step will be a major consultation exercise, starting in mid-February, on the future of the City of Bristol College site at Marksbury Road and the site of the Kingswear Road and Torpoint flats.
The re-development is a joint initiative between Bristol City Council; the Homes and Communities Agency and Knightstone Housing Association.
South Bristol is a key regeneration priority for the council and its partners for investment and growth over the next 20 years.
Councillor Mark Bradshaw, Cabinet Member for Sustainable Development, said: "South Bristol remains our key priority for regeneration and renewal and this project is an important stage in bringing forward more detailed proposals based on extensive community engagement."
