Construction and Management Consultants, Turner & Townsend has recently been appointed to the Technical Advisory Framework for Partnerships for Schools, the agency responsible for delivery of the nationwide Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme.
The BSF programme is the largest single schools capital investment programme for over 50 years and will provide world-class teaching and learning environments for all pupils, teachers and communities in England. The PfS frameworks will help local authorities choose the right private sector partner to work with them in delivering educational transformation through new and rebuilt schools.
This framework builds upon Turner & Townsend's extensive track record in the education sector, which currently involves providing support to the Department for Children's, Schools and Families on 14-19 Agenda, Building Schools for the Future (BSF) Project Management and Academies work.
Director, Nick Townsend said: "Education is one of the most significant market sectors for Turner & Townsend's in the UK with over 220 technical staff directly involved in the delivery of projects within education, including a team of education specialists with a varied skill base including former head teachers and specialist consultants. This framework is very important to Turner & Townsend, as it cements our position as a market leader in supporting the education sector."
