The Federation of Master Builders (FMB) is urging all builders to vote for 'Builder’s Breakfast' crisps in Walkers' "Do us a flavour" competition, which invited members of the public to come up with a new flavour of crisps.
The six finalist flavours, Chilli & Chocolate; Fish & Chips; Onion Bhaji; Crispy Duck & Hoi Sin; Cajun Squirrel and of course Builder's Breakfast, were chosen by a judging panel fronted by controversial Chief Judge Heston Blumenthal. It will now be up to the public to vote and decide which one stays on sale as part of the Walkers range permanently. The public can vote for their favourite flavour until the 1st May 2009 via a free SMS text message, courtesy of O2, or via the Walkers website.
Richard Diment, Director General of the FMB said: "We're delighted that Builder's Breakfast has been selected as a finalist in the Do Us a Flavour campaign. Builders across the country will no doubt be voting for this exciting new flavour and we urge the general public to do the same!"
Emma Rushin creator of the Builder's Breakfast flavour said: "The combination of bacon, buttered toast, eggs and tomato sauce is mouth-watering and I know it will be a hit with the British public."
