The new President of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), Dr Jean Venables, made a stop at Halcrow's City Park offices during her tour of the West of Scotland.
As part of her tour, Dr Venables, the first ever female ICE President, was shown around the company's offices for an introductory presentation on the White Cart Flood Alleviation scheme.
Accompanied by Douglas Luke of Halcrow's Water team, and representatives from Carillion and Glasgow City Council, Dr Venables, was taken on a tour to see the areas prone to flooding throughout the south side of Glasgow before visiting one of the storage alleviation sites near Eaglesham.
Mr Luke commented: "It's been a great honour to have Dr Venables here in Glasgow with us and I hope that she has enjoyed seeing some of the great work that we do in Glasgow, especially the White Cart scheme.
"We wish her all the best for the rest of her presidency and hope that will consider visiting Halcrow again in not too distant future."
