Faithful+Gould and Atkins have been appointed as the single partner to Scape, a local authority controlled company, for the provision of professional design services.
Under a four year National Framework Agreement, the arrangement will enable them to be appointed for professional services by any public body within the UK.
The appointment will also permit Faithful+Gould and Atkins to use Scape technology; a component based steel framed system evolved from the Clasp system, which is unique in its lightweight structure based on a standard grid layout for buildings up to four storeys in height.
David Mackness, Chief Executive Officer of Scape, said: "The Scape selection of Faithful+Gould and Atkins means that we can offer our many public sector customers professional design services by an organisation with the very best credentials.
"Their commitment shown during the OJEU procurement process has convinced me they have the right mixture of expertise, drive and focus on excellent service delivery that we need."
This also provides Faithful+Gould and Atkins an additional route to market and the capability to offer clients dramatically reduced procurement times and costs. The framework will focus on continuous improvement in time, cost and quality with earlier building occupation as a result.
