Construction at the new Nailsea Community School in North Somerset is five months ahead of schedule thanks to Faithful+Gould.
Faithful+Gould was appointed by North Somerset Council to act as project managers and technical advisors on the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) project to design and create a new 1,500 pupil school. The Nailsea Community School is being constructed in the playing fields of the existing school, which is still operational, and is programmed for completion in Autumn 2009.
Faithful+Gould has been instrumental in securing funding for the project. Paul Gibbs of Faithful+Gould believes the school, which is being delivered under the Government's One School Pathfinder scheme, is proving to be exceptional.
He said: "We are ahead of programme and as a result North Somerset Council has extended our appointment to include project management throughout the entire scheme, as well as acting as employers' representative.
"We're currently five months into construction and overall ahead of schedule and on budget, which is an extremely good position to be in. We aim to keep this trend going throughout the development of the project."
