Bristol City Council Gives Helping Hand To Contractors

Construction News Image

A small helping hand is being offered to the local construction industry by Bristol City Council with free advertising in its ever-growing construction and building services directory.

The 'Bristol First' directory aims to ensure that anyone looking for a contractor can find the right one easily. In the current tough economic climate that is seeing a serious effect on the construction industry, local businesses should be keen to take advantage of the free advertising that could help them reach potential customers.

As well as extensive listings for building and construction companies and all related services, the directory has information on: regeneration and Bristol's vision of the future; planning and buildings regulations; training opportunities and organisations; matters relating to construction such as ecological, energy efficiency and sustainability issues and sources of help and links to e-information.

Steve Gay, Policy & Projects Officer for Bristol City Council, said: "Bristol First is an invaluable resource for anyone wanting to employ a local building professional. People need to get the right person for the job, quickly and easily, and Bristol First can help with that. Equally, it gives businesses the chance to put themselves in front of their would-be customers. We want to do as much as we can to support local companies and help keep business in the city."
