MG Marble and Granite Ltd - which is constantly striving to be the best - have to work shoulder to shoulder with the best too.
Silestone, who are world leaders in quartz surfaces and are official sponsors of Formula 1 Fernando Alonso, invited MG Marble and Granite to the exclusive launch of the Platinum series in Frankfurt, Germany held in July at the German Grand Prix.
The launch, which was held at the Westhafen Pier overlooking the River Main in Frankfurt, was hosted by Heiko Wasser, a renowned F1 reporter in Germany.
MG Marble and Granite, along with the world's press, watched closely as Francisco Martinez-Cosentino, the President of Silestone, introduced Fernando Alonso.
The F1 pilot has himself been the inspiration for the colours in the Platinum series which reflects the values associated with F1.
The exclusive series is composed of four metallic colours; Carbon, Steel, Chrome and Zirconium.
Fernando Alonso, not merely there just to attend, went on to prepare some traditional Spanish cuisine on a Silestone Kitchen Island for Spencer Neal, Director of MG Marble and Granite ltd and other guests and press invited from around Europe.
The Platinum series, along with the new Life and Zen series and their Microban properties are set to be the future of Quartz worktops. Currently in Spain, one in four worktops are Silestone.
