As part of Bristol’s popular Heritage Doors Open Day this Saturday, 13 September, Colston Hall is offering a glimpse behind the façade of its multi-million pound, new foyer development.
From 10am to 4pm, visitors will have the opportunity to step on to the building site and get a sneak preview of the contemporary construction, which has been designed by international architects Levitt Bernstein Associates. Highlights of the tour include being able to stroll around what will become an additional performance and exhibition space.
Colston Hall staff will attend to answer any questions and give further information about the building’s progress. There will also be printed material available explaining in more detail how the foyer building will function when it opens in summer 2009.
Colston Hall's existing auditorium will also be open to the general public to visit as part of the event.
