Award-winning developer, Simons Developments, would like to reiterate that the new multi-storey and open-air car park on the St Catherine's Walk development, Carmarthenshire, is underway and will comprise of approximately 960 car parking spaces when complete.

Service work is currently underway on the car park site and it is anticipated that construction of the new multi-storey car park will commence in January 2009.


June Harvey, Senior Project Manager, Simons Developments, said: "There has been some local speculation surrounding the number of car parking spaces provided by the development. I can confirm that we are still on target to provide up to 960 spaces with the combined multi-storey and open-air car park. We are on site undertaking enabling work at present and on schedule to start work on the new car park in the New Year for completion at the end of 2009."

Carmarthenshire County Council's Property Development Advisor Cyril Davies added: "The developers have assured us that they are on target to provide the same number of spaces as envisaged when planning consent was first granted. We will continue to work closely with them, and the local community, and hope that any concerns or speculation has now been laid to rest."
