Council tenants and leaseholders celebrated the signing of a new constitution at Bognor Regis Town Hall.
The new Arun Tenant and Leaseholder Organisation (ATLO) constitution was signed by Mary Lockwood, Chairman of the ATLO, and Frank Hickson, Head of Housing Management for Arun.
It replaces the previous constitution which was over 10 years old and marks another stage in the development of the ATLO and its partnership with the Council's Housing Department.
Frank Hickson said: "I am sure the new Constitution will help and guide the leading officials of the ATLO to run the organisation even more effectively and efficiently, and will ultimately bring better representation for all tenants and leaseholders of the Council."
Mary Lockwood said: "The new Constitution is the product of many hours of discussion and debate led by the tenants themselves, and although the main body of the constitution remains the same the changes will ultimately strengthen the organisation.
"I hope that the news of this new constitution will spur even more tenants and leaseholders to come along to our meetings and get involved. We are a successful but friendly group and are always looking to welcome more people to our meetings to help us solve any problems."
