Barratt Site Managers Win All-Time Record 72 Pride In The Job Awards

Site managers working for Barratt Group have won a record 72 Quality Awards in this year's Pride In The Job competition for quality workmanship - the highest number ever claimed by one housebuilder in the 28-year history of the awards.

The honours are the most coveted in the industry and are awarded after the industry watchdog the National House Building Council (NHBC) carries out a series of unannounced site inspections to select the best-organised and best-built housing developments.

More than 18,000 site managers throughout Britain are judged on every aspect of their job, including technical skill, quality workmanship, customer service and site safety.

Mark Clare, Chief Executive of Barratt Developments PLC, said: "The site manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high quality new homes and I think this unprecedented achievement recognises the exceptional professionalism of our Barratt and David Wilson site teams.

"We have a track record of success in these awards over many years, which should give added reassurance to would-be buyers that they are buying from housebuilding teams which have consistently prioritised high standards and best practice. In the 2007 Pride in the Job competition we became the first company ever to win a clean sweep of both Supreme Awards for major housebuilders."
