Construction and Management Consultants, Turner & Townsend exhibited at Manchester Town Hall last week to promote its recent appointment onto Manchester City Council’s Programme and Project Management Framework.

Manchester City Council invited members of staff to visit the exhibition to have the opportunity to meet their suppliers and to discuss future opportunities.

The city council's capital programme consists of around 800 programmes and projects with a value in the region of £280 million per annum. The Council also has an ambitious change agenda focused around service transformation and improvement. The framework is designed for the Council to work in partnership with preferred suppliers, so that time and money are not wasted on going to tender or every project.

This framework further strengthens Turner & Townsend's relationship with the Council, which over the past five years has seen Turner & Townsend emerge as the key supplier to the Council for Capital/Construction and Business Change consultancy services.

Turner & Townsend’s Director, Jim White, commented: "We are delighted by the framework award by the Council and feel that the tangible benefits to the Council will be in best practice procurement, increased efficiency and time and cost savings involved in undertaking a full tender exercise.
