Cherwell District and Oxfordshire County Councils have joined forces to ask the Government and potential eco-town developers Parkridge to develop a programme of local consultation around proposals to build an eco-town at Weston, near Bicester.
In an effort to kick start the public consultation process, the Councils are hosting a consultative forum meeting tomorrow, where invited stakeholder groups will have the opportunity discuss the proposed eco town at Weston Otmoor with government officials and representatives from the developers.
Invitations to the event, to be held at Cherwell District Council's Bodicote House, have been extended to local interest groups, community representatives and Council members. It is hoped the meeting will give local representatives the opportunity to find out more about the eco-town proposal, and for them to share their views about the community's desire to be consulted.
