Turner & Townsend's Project Management Team has been appointed by Alba Capital Partners Limited as the project manager providing superintendency services for the procurement of the Pharmacy Australia Centre of Excellence (P.A.C.E.) development in Brisbane, Australia.
Alba, whose shareholders include the Royal Bank of Scotland, specialises in social infrastructure, property development and investment and has facilitated a development pipeline of more than $2 billion throughout Australia.
The new, six storey $120m development will be a 'state-of-the-art' pharmaceutical research facility that will house the University of Queensland’s School of Pharmacy. The building is the first stage of a 'Pharmacy Precinct' that will ultimately consist of three buildings all of which are being jointly developed by Alba Capital Partners Limited and The University of Queensland.
Martin Berry, Director said: "We are delighted to have been appointed on this project. Our contribution during the life of the project will entail Project Management, Proactive Stakeholder Management, Communication Management, Change Management of the Contract, Superintendent Services, Contract Advice and execution of the above roles in an alliance mode."
The project is being constructed by Baulderstone Hornibrook and is due for completion in early 2010.
