Galliford Try has appointed Stuart Gibbons as Managing Director of its Building Division 1 July 2008.

Stuart is currently Managing Director of Galliford Try Partnerships and also a member of the Building Division Board. Over the past three years he has been responsible for expanding Galliford Try Partnerships' turnover to £101 million by developing long-term strategic partnerships with clients, promoting the company's early involvement in projects at the pre-construction stage and increasing the presence and profile of Galliford Try Partnerships in the market place.

Stuart will replace Andy Sturgess, the current Building Division Managing Director and Executive Board member who has reached his planned retirement date.

Following Stuart's new appointment, Mick Laws will become Managing Director of Galliford Try Partnerships. Mick is currently employed as Operations Director for Galliford Try Partnerships and has been responsible for the Design and Build, Estimating and pre-commencement processes of the business. He has been employed by the group since 1993.
