Lovell is preparing to build 55 new homes in Coventry in partnership with Jephson Homes Housing Association.
Work is set to start this spring on the £6.5 million scheme.
The development will provide 21 homes for open market sale and 34 homes for rent through the housing association.
Lovell will build 18 apartments and 37 houses on land off Dunster Place and Briansway. The scheme is due to be finished in late 2009.
Homes will achieve Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes with the properties incorporating a number of sustainable features, including air source heat pumps which extract heat from the air to provide heating and hot water.
"We're delighted to be working with Jephson Homes Housing Association on this scheme which will make an important contribution to the ongoing regeneration of this area," said Lovell Regional Director Chris King.
