The new five-storey building will link together with existing police premises, providing nine new courts. Demolition work will commence in early May 2008 with construction starting in July 2008. Completion is expected in July 2010.
Chris Bond of Galliford Try Construction Central said: "We are really pleased to be awarded this prestigious contract. It is a fabulous looking building and will provide a 21st century justice facility. We are looking forward to continuing the good work undertaken to date and getting works underway on site."
