Gleeds, the International Management and Construction Consultancy, has been chosen by the new Learning and Skills Council (LSC) to provide Cost and Project Management services across the UK in a framework agreement.
The Framework Agreement will cover £1.6 billion of annual capital spend on the construction of Academies and Colleges of Further Education nationwide. Gleeds has been appointed to provide Quantity Surveying services to Central, Southern and Northern regions with a capital spend value between £400-£800 million. Gleeds has also been appointed to carry out Project Management services throughout Central and Southern England.
Richard Steer, Senior Partner at Gleeds, said: "We are delighted to be appointed to the new Framework Agreement which clearly represents a massive investment by the Government in Further Education.
"Gleeds entered into a long and protracted pre-qualification process, which started in the middle of last year and has ended in this gratifying appointment. We were undoubtedly assisted by our nationwide structure of offices which enabled us to meet the LSC criteria of national capability."
