Construction and management consultants Turner & Townsend have announced the appointment of Dave Belmont as its first Company Secretary.

Mr Belmont, who was named Company Secretary of the Year in 2006, joins from CODA plc and brings 15 years company secretarial experience to Turner & Townsend.

His appointment highlights the company's commitment to list on the London Stock Exchange and he will play a key role in working towards this strategy.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Belmont said: "I have always worked at profitable, well-managed, expanding companies, and so I am delighted to join Turner & Townsend, which is a very exciting business."
