Lovell has been presented with a major award for helping set up and support a construction training project at a Birmingham school.
Lovell received the One Edgbaston Partnership Award for Corporate and Social Responsibility in recognition of its close involvement with the construction training centre run as part of the Quinzone project at Four Dwellings High School, Quinton, Birmingham.
The award was presented to the company by The Edgbaston Foundation, a new charity which is part of The Birmingham Foundation.
Lovell helped fund the Quinzone construction centre, which provides construction training for students from local secondary schools.
As well as advising on the setting up of the centre, the company's training experts helped structure the students' training programme.
Apprentices working for Lovell fitted out and redecorated the room, and equipped it with carpentry and brickwork demonstration pieces.
