Sheffield United's football stadium has been evacuated after a gas cylinder on an adjacent building site exploded yesterday morning.
Firefighters were called to the blaze on Bramall Lane and over 100 employees had to be evacuated.
It is believed an acetylene cylinder was on fire on the seventh floor of a new hotel being built, and there was great concern that a second cylinder on the premise could possibly have exploded if it over heated.
No-one was injured in the incident.
