A ceremony in Croxteth, Liverpool, celebrated the handover of the first homes built by Lovell with funding obtained through the Housing Corporation's National Affordable Housing Programme.
The landmark properties are part of a £5.6m development of 66 properties - for rent and shared ownership - for Cobalt Housing in Croxteth, Liverpool.
Lovell has now completed 22 two and three-bedroom houses for affordable rent at the Croxteth site, with the overall development due to be finished by the end of September. The new homes are being built at Sovereign Way and Dragon Close, Croxteth and Haven Road, Fazakerley.
John Carleton, The Housing Corporation's Field Director for the North, said: "This development is a great example of what the Housing Corporation is achieving in partnership with developers across the North. Lovell has done an excellent job in delivering this new affordable housing here in Croxteth.
"I am absolutely delighted that Housing Corporation investment is being used to deliver much needed, high quality new homes which meet the needs of local communities."
