Lovell has been chosen to undertake the £2.9 million second phase of a major estate regeneration project in Newport, South Wales.

Lovell will build 32 houses, apartments and bungalows in the Ringland area of the town for Fairlake Properties, which is part of the Seren Group, for rent and low-cost home ownership.

Work on the new development will start later this month with the scheme set for completion in the summer of 2009.

Lovell began work last year on the first phase of the regeneration programme, building 34 homes for rent, affordable home ownership and open market sale, again in partnership with Fairlake Properties.
