LABC Training, provider of building control practice updates and training on new regulations and innovations, has appointed Anna Thompson as Director of Training.

Ms Thompson took up her new post after working in local authority building control, including most recently East Devon District Council where she was Building Control Manager for three years.

Paul Everall, Chief Executive of LABC said: "We are delighted to attract Anna to our organisation. She has extensive experience of building control and training in many different contexts. She shares our ambition to take a more holistic approach to meeting the on-the-job training needs of building control surveyors and clients from all sectors within the industry.

"We are not going to provide accredited training because the professional bodies already do an excellent job in this area. Instead, we want to provide more practical training focussed on topical issues, new regulations and new innovations."
