Rok has acquired building and regeneration specialist Richardson Projects.
Formed 25 years ago by its current chairman Alan Richardson, he employs more than 350 people from offices in Rochdale and Leeds. It has established itself in the North West and Yorkshire as a well respected business with a sound reputation based on long term relationships. The company provides building services mainly to the social housing sector.
Mr Richardson has a number of long term framework agreements with customers which means much of its workload for the coming year is secured. Last year it made a profit before tax of £4.2m.
Chief Executive of Rok, Garvis Snook, said: "We are delighted that such a high quality business as Richardson has decided to join Rok. Richardson's team, with its substantial pool of skilled trades people, will extend Rok’s service to the social housing market. The transaction will also enable Richardson to bring the resources and expertise to its existing and potential customers that come from being part of a major national group."
