Bury Council has decided to increase the opening hours of its Energy Show House amid fears rising over fuel prices and the Government's drive to encourage homes to become more energy efficient.
This follows results from recent customer satisfaction surveys, which identified that people would like a wider choice of when they can visit for energy efficiency advice and information on grants available to help fund insulation measures.
From 1 April the Show House at 150 Willow Street, Bury will open on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 12.30pm, Wednesdays from 1.30pm to 4.30pm and Thursdays between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
To accommodate people who are unable to visit during normal office hours due to work commitments, the Energy Team can offer individual appointments if necessary.
The Energy Show House is packed with information and displays to show what can be done to make homes warmer, reduce fuel costs and help the environment.
