Planning permission for the business park has already been granted and more than £25m investment has been made in land acquisition, land reclamation, access roads and a dedicated junction with the M4 and now infrastructure.

Gareth Sullivan, Swansea Council's Cabinet Member for Economic and Strategic Development, said: "The location, size and proximity to the M4 junction make the Felindre site a very attractive proposition in Wales.

"We are delighted to be working in partnership with the Welsh Assembly Government on a scheme of such magnitude.

"We will be looking to maximise job creation at the new business park and to ensure design work is sustainable and of the highest quality.

"Work can now progress on a facility that puts the region at the forefront of business opportunities in Wales."
