The Leeds City Varieties music hall theatre is to be receive a £9m revamp.
The Heritage Lottery Fund is giving £3m and the Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House Limited is also giving £1m towards the scheme.
Work on the grade II listed Victorian building will include the restoration of the auditorium, improving stage and backstage facilities and adding extra toilets.
The plans can be viewed at the development enquiry centre, Leonardo Building, in Rossington Street.
The work is to begin in early 2009 and is expected to be completed by the summer of 2010.
