Land Securities has submitted a planning application for 'Evolution Corby', a second phase of development in Corby town centre.
The £100m development, on a former bus station and multi-storey car park, will also provide 350 residential units, an 8,000 sq ft sports facility and two new car parks.
The north of the town along Elizabeth Street would also be remodelled with the Volunteer Bureau knocked down to make way for an un-named venture.
Land Securities Development Manager Mark Rymell said: "This new phase of development will add even more vitality and variety to the town and, combined with the extensive investment already underway, will position Corby as a sub-regional destination in its own right."
Subject to planning approval, construction work on 'Evolution Corby', designed by Chapman Taylor Architects, could begin as early as 2010 with completion in 2012.
