DM Hall, the long-established and highly-respected firm of chartered surveyors, has successfully completed the purchase of one of the most sought-after and ideally located commercial sites in Central Scotland.
The firm, which has offices throughout Scotland, bought the former Reekie agricultural machinery complex and Hyundai franchise at 19 Kerse Road, Stirling, for Cameron Developments Scotland Ltd for a "substantial" six-figure sum.
As part of the deal DM Hall and their client assisted in the relocation of the Reekie Group to a new 5000 sq ft unit nearby at Whitehouse Road, part of the cities busy Springkerse Industrial Estate.
The 11,600 sq ft Kerse Road building sits on a site of 1.5 acres and fronts onto the Broadleys roundabout on the A905, one of the busiest roads in Scotland's newest city. The A905 gives immediate access to the M9, M80, M876 and the whole of Scotland's transport infrastructure.
One of DM Hall's options now is to let the existing building and an appropriate acreage of yard space and also to develop another 9000 sq feet of accommodation on the rest of the site. However, nothing has been ruled out and the prestigious site could be made available to a single new occupier.
Michael McIntyre, Commercial Valuations and Agency Associate at the Stirling and Falkirk offices of DM Hall, said that the area, which hosts many international car dealerships, could conceivably attract another famous marque. However, he said it would also be attractive to builders' merchants, plant hire, warehouse, trade counter or for business space.
He said: "The fantastic frontage of this site will be of the greatest interest to a variety of commercial concerns and we expect to see strong competition for access to one of the most versatile commercial sites in the country."
