A £2.2 million apartment complex has opened in Hardwick with the first new tenants moving in.
Ruskin Court offers 20 two-bedroom apartments, 15 of which are linked to Endeavour Housing Associations' Extra Care Service, Aspen Gardens.
The new service is a joint partnership between Endeavour Housing and Stockton Council and is part of the £100m regeneration of Hardwick.
Tenants can benefit from floating support, domicilary care, telecare monitoring and handyperson services. There will also be a link to the Bistro at Aspen Gardens with tenants able to enjoy healthy, tasty food at subsidised prices.
Councillor Bob Cook, Stockton Council's Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Transport, said: "The opening of Ruskin Court is another milestone in the regeneration of Hardwick Green and it will provide a much needed facility for older people."
