The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) is running a new series of technical courses for Spring/Summer 2008, with an emphasis on environmental issues and craft skills.
The courses are specifically designed for those working with historic buildings. Covering subjects ranging from flooding to environmental monitoring and control and from lime plastering to pargetting, they will provide information and first-hand practical experience for architects, surveyors, engineers, builders and conservation officers.
SPAB's highly respected technical courses are led by experts at venues throughout the country and feature case studies, question and answer sessions and the chance to explore the subjects covered in the company of interested, like-minded fellow professionals. Courses run throughout 2007 were extremely popular and booking for sessions in 2008 is essential.
