One of the UK's leading timber and panel products distributor, James Latham is to establish its first Scottish site at the Eurocentral business park in Lanarkshire.
James Latham, has agreed a deal to take a 40,000 sq ft warehousing and distribution unit at Eurocentral on a 17-year lease.
The new facility will provide Lathams with a total of 10 sites covering the whole of the UK, and the company will use the base to supply customers throughout Scotland with an extensive range of products including veneered MDF, MFC, Birch and Spruce plywood.
Muse Developments and Eurocentral Partnership director, Steve Turner, said: "We are delighted that James Latham plc has decided to set up a Scottish distribution unit at Eurocentral. The deal is the first industrial signing of the year and reinforces the business park's attraction to businesses on a UK-wide level.
"Lathams identified that Eurocentral provides an excellent location for its distribution unit due to its superb connections to road and rail. The move will enable the company to extend its distribution reach and further develop its Scottish market."
Lathams will lease the Pharos unit at Eurocentral, a highly specified warehousing and production facility which is part of Eurocentral's Advance Build programme.
The Eurocentral Partnership was represented by CB Richard Ellis and Ryden, Lathams were advised by Clifford Gee.
