A leading construction and management consultancy has secured further use of its expertise in large scale industrial buildings within the Chinese market.

Turner & Townsend has been commissioned to support the construction of a new Bosch Siemens factory based on its campus in Chuzhou, Anhui Province, 60km west of Nanjing.

Bosch and Siemens (BSH) have been operating in a Joint Venture for a number of years. This project, for the production of bottom freezers, is the latest investment in China and will be the Bosch Siemen's largest freezer factory in the world.

Work started in November 20074 and is due for completion by the end of 2008.

Turner & Townsend will provide full project and cost management services involving the selection and management of a local design institute. The team also has hands-on management of technical delivery with package managers integrated into the Bosch Siemens team.

Duncan Stone, Regional Director for Turner & Townsend in China, said: "The new building is on a Bosch Siemens existing campus and the challenge will be coordinating construction on an operational site.
