JELD-WEN's door manufacturing site in Penrith, Cumbria, is celebrating achieving the prestigious ISO14001 accreditation, the international standard for environmental performance.

The award gives a clear indication that the company adheres to strict environmental policies and procedures in all areas of its business, which includes recycling and the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions.

"Achieving IS014001 involved our entire workforce," explains Ray Simpson, General Manager at JELD-WEN's facility in Cumbria. "Being located so close to the Lake District national park we have always been conscious of how important it is to preserve the natural environment. Recycling and minimizing waste are vitally important throughout our business, from the offices, through manufacturing to packaging and the distribution of our products.
