Bristol City Council is currently compiling a directory aimed at simplifying access to construction related businesses in Bristol.
The third edition of this ever growing directory is aimed at construction industry professionals and suppliers, registered social landlords, and is also distributed to public access points such as area housing offices and libraries.
Bristol First is published every two years and excludes directory of building and construction companies and all related and professional services. It is also a guide for inward investors and local construction industry resources.
For this new edition which is due to be published in March 2008, the council is keen to increase the number of black and ethnic minority and female-run companies in the listings, as well as providing a mention for companies who cater for specific ethnic groups or provide female-run companies in the listings, as well as providing a mention for companies who cater for specific ethnic groups or provide female tradespeople.
A website version of the directory is available at www.bristol.gov.uk/bristolfirst which is kept constantly up to date.
